Cat Urine Spraying

Cat_sprayingCats have a very strong sense of territory. Usually they mark their territory outside the house, by scrubbing special glands or by "spraying" urine in their territory borders.
If your cat is urinating indoors maybe the cat is disturbed by any change in the household routine. The presence of a new cat can be enough to trigger this behavior.

"Spraying" inside your house can be caused by a disease, you should have your cat seen by a veterinarian.

When the cat has urinated in your house you should use a proper disinfectant or liquid detergent to clean the smell completely, otherwise your cat will return to the same spot and do it again.

If your cat is not yet spayed or neutered, you should consider doing it as soon as possible. This will prevent undesirable urinating behaviors. Check with
your veterinarian to determine when it is the best time for this procedure.
